Little Lights empowers under-served youth and families in Washington, DC through practical assistance, racial reconciliation, and the love of Christ. In our 22+ years of ministry we have seen countless victories, big and small, that collectively work to transform our community - like a student making honor roll or adults finding employment with our landscaping social enterprise. Today we celebrate those victories, and invite you to help us to another victory: Winning the 1st place grand prize!

For more than 22 years Little Lights has existed to create opportunity for families in public housing who struggle to exist on an average of $10,000-$12,000 per year. We help parents access employment to provide for their families, we help students succeed in school so they can pursue the futures they want, and we build long-lasting personal relationships within our community that remind residents that they are seen and that there is hope.
This January we celebrated a very special honor for our Executive Director and Founder, Steve Park, as he was named Georgetown University's John R. Thompson Legacy of A Dream Awardee, for exemplifying leadership in the service of others. Georgetown University created the video above highlighting the impact Little Lights is making in DC's public housing communities.
